For mental health and medical professionals, you are often placed on the frontline, supporting people through their trauma, suffering, and pain. It's no surprise that this can easily lead to feeling emotionally and physically exhausted, otherwise known as compassion fatigue.

Some may say, it kind of comes with the job. If not addressed, work-related stress can lead to burnout (physical and emotional exhaustion). Burnout is a loaded topic and can feel similar to compassion fatigue. Symptoms include feeling uninspired, disconnected, jaded, decreased motivation or feeling empty with a lack of empathy.
