About Me

Hi, I’m Courtney Lozano, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from Fordham University with my MSW and have 15+ years of experience working in the healthcare field. A majority of my professional career has been dedicated to providing emotional support to individuals dealing with illness, loss, and life transitions. Working in Oncology, I offered support to newly diagnosed patients, helped families cope with the complexities of caregiving, and developed a health & wellness program cancer survivors.

I’ve been humbled and inspired by the strength and courage demonstrated by those who have been impacted by cancer. Working in a hospital setting, I’ve been equally inspired by the interdisciplinary care team who work together to support the needs of patients and families in the darkest of times.  But over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the physical and emotional toll that work-related stress can take on those working in healthcare.  After developing a workplace wellness initiative that was well received by employees, I recognized a gap that needed to be filled.  This inspired me to dedicate my work to supporting fellow professionals.

There are days we give so much of ourselves to those we serve, how can we decompress, replenish, and mentally nourish ourselves after an emotionally demanding day? We exercise to keep our body healthy, but how do we keep our mind healthy?

Our emotional health matters.

As a mom, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a neighbor and a colleague, I understand the struggle of juggling a lot at once.    We all have busy lives, but in this line of work, cultivating a work-life balance is crucial.   Through professional development workshops and 1:1 customized support, I work with those engaging in emotionally demanding environments to enhance well-being in a way that creates a valuable, supportive experience.

Let’s work together.
